Dain Trafton was for many years a professor of literature and an occasional administrator in various colleges and universities. He has published scholarly and critical books and articles on English, American, French, Italian, and neo-Latin writers; translations (from Italian into English); personal essays; reviews; fiction; and poetry. Now retired from teaching and administrative work, he lives and works in northern New England, his native ground.
